Orinthia King, D.O., Emergency Medicine Physician, Board Member
Orinthia King has volunteered with H.E.R.O. since 2012 and was elected a member of its board of directors in 2016. She began working with the organization as a medical resident and is now an attending physician providing medical care to patients while in Guyana. Dr. King received her degree in medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, Long Island, and trained in Emergency Medicine at the Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine residency program in Bronx, NY. She pursued her interest in clinical ultrasonography which led her to New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where she completed an Ultrasound Fellowship. Dr. King is currently the Director of Point of Care Ultrasound at a community hospital in New York, where she is committed to resident development, education and serving the emergent medical needs of the community. Dr. King is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine and continues to pursue her passion for providing medical care for those in need.
